VFX & On-Set Supervision
Operation White Christmas
MonafilmFor the feature film “Operation White Christmas”, we delivered an extensive amount of visual effects work — over 250 VFX shots — and also took on on-set VFX supervision throughout the shoot. Our role was to protect the director’s creative vision with a technically solid approach, while enhancing
the imagery with effects that feel cinematic and never compromise the film’s natural look.
A large part of the work was about using VFX in a way that either remains seamlessly invisible or supports key moments with precise, story-driven impact — always aligned with editing, timing, and the film’s tone. By supervising on set, we were able to make crucial decisions early: from practical setups and clean plate planning to capturing the right references and finding efficient solutions that ensured a smooth handover from production to post.
The close collaboration with director Flo Lackner was a major highlight. As a long-time friend, he placed a great deal of trust in us and gave us a lot of creative freedom — the perfect environment to fully apply our craft: efficient, detail-focused, and always in service of the story.
We’re proud to have played such a central role in this project, and to have helped shape the final look of the film — delivering VFX that supports the pace, the humor, and the cinematic experience exactly as intended.
